Roman Forum
Travel in time to Ancient Rome and visit the heart of the ancient city, the Roman Forum. Take a break and enjoy your espresso, you can embrace with your gaze what was the greatness of the Roman Empire. Over the centuries, the Roman Forum was adorned with numerous buildings, including basilicas, temples, triumphal arches, rostra (platforms for orators), and the Curia, the meeting place of the Roman Senate for political discussions.
Despite the passage of time and numerous destructions and looting, some structures still survive in the Roman Forum. Among the best-preserved buildings are the Temple of Saturn, the Arch of Septimius Severus, the Basilica of Maxentius, and the Temple of Antoninus and Faustina.
Curiosità
The Via Sacra, the main street of the Roman Forum, connected the Colosseum to the Capitoline Hill. It was traversed by military triumphs and important religious processions. Today, it is possible to walk along this ancient road and imagine the grandeur of ancient Rome.
